Different type of ice is made by different processes. They also differ in their shapes and sizes.
Tube Ice- is made by direct refrigeration through heat transfer. It operates in batches and discharges ice at every 20 minutes. For example, 20 Ton per day of tube ice machine will produce 278 kg of ice per cycle of 20 min.
Flake Ice- Flake ice machines operates on much complicated system. Refrigerant will chill a round and rotating vessel from the inside. Water is continuously dripped on the outer surface of the vessel. Refrigerant circulating inside the vessel will freeze the water dripping on the outer surface. Ice formed on the outer surface of the vessel will be removed by the sharp scrapper (knife)and ice in flakes from will be collected at the bottom of the plant. In flake ice machine, ice is formed and discharged continuously.
Block Ice- Block ice plant is the age old technology.GI cans will be filled by the water. Ice is formed by indirect refrigeration. Refrigerant will first chill the brine solution, and in turn brine solution will chill the water filled in the ice cans and ice is from. Usually it is 24 hours cycle, but same can be reduced by increasing the capacity of the supporting equipments to produce more ice
Tube ice from Icelings is 35 mm in Diameter, 35 mm in Height, and has a hole in the center of diameter 6 mm.
Running water freezes inside the tubes to form tube ice. To ensure correct timing of this process, a hole in the centre of 6 mm diameter should be maintained. If such a hole is not there, water can over-freeze in the tubes where ice is formed, and damage the tubes.
Yes and No. The diameter of the tube ice will always be 35mm but the height can be varied between 25 mm and 35mm. Please inform us at the time of placing the order.

We have been making tube ice since 1996. We operate India’s largest Tube Ice Plant with an installed capacity of 300 tons per day. The plant is located in Navi Mumbai and supplies ice to customers across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Taloja and Roha.
Worldwide, Icelings has more than 200 Tube Ice plants installed in more than 20 countries.
Tube ice is used by companies that manufacture Dyes & Intermediates, Optical whiteners, food colors, companies that process Seafood, Ready Mix Concrete, and Chicken, along with Bakeries and retail ice manufacturers.
Yes we do. Icelings’ tube ice machines are being used in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chile, Venezuela, Iran, Iraq,Kuwait,Maldives, Bangladesh, Vietnam,UAE, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and a few other countries.
Yes. We do install the complete plant and then hand it over to you.
Yes. During and after installation of the Tube Ice Plant, we will provide training for its operation and maintenance. Alternately, you can send your technicians to our Tube Ice Plants where we can impart training on an actual, live and operating plant.
