WHY TUBE ICE
COOL IT. DON'T DILUTE IT.
Hollow-cylinder tube ice melts slower, stacks tighter and stays crystal clear — so it chills catch, dough, concrete and beverages without watering down the product. Made from potable water, cut to size, and handled without a single human touch.

CLIENT VOICES
WHAT OPERATORS SAY
Two Monsoons, Zero Stoppages
The 500 TPD plant has run through two monsoons without a single unplanned stoppage. Their commissioning team knew the harbour better than we did.
Rated Capacity On Day One
From design to commissioning, the containerized plant was running at rated capacity within the promised window. Uptime has been exceptional.
They Stayed Until We Were Ready
ICELINGS engineers stayed on site until our operators were confident. The plant handles peak summer loads without drama.
Ice Quality Our Bakers Trust
Our Ludhiana lines need uniform tube ice every shift. Since commissioning, batch consistency has improved and we spend less time adjusting plant settings.
Smooth Daily Production
For organic dairy processing, reliability matters more than peak numbers. The plant runs quietly through our daily cycle and the team picked up operations quickly.
Handles Peak Summer Demand
During Noida summers, demand spikes hard. The 75 TPD plant keeps ice uniform when we need it most — our dispatch team notices the difference.
Containerized & Site-Ready
UltraTech needed plants that could move between sites. ICELINGS delivered containerized units that were operational fast, with build quality that holds up on remote locations.
Operators Learned It Fast
We are a mid-size retail ice brand — our team is small. The plant interface is straightforward; within a week our operators were running shifts independently.
Reliable for Mumbai Dispatch
Commercial ice in Mumbai does not forgive downtime. Production has stayed steady through our busiest months, and ice quality has been consistent for our clients.
Responsive After Sales
When we had a refrigeration query at 2 AM during a heatwave, their service team picked up and walked us through it. That kind of support is rare.
100 TPD Without Compromise
Scaling to 100 TPD was a big step for us. The plant has delivered on capacity, and our operating costs have stayed within what ICELINGS projected at the proposal stage.
Built for 240 TPD Duty
At 240 TPD for dye intermediates, there is no room for weak engineering. The installation has handled continuous industrial load — that is what we signed up for.
Two Cities, One Standard
We run plants in Gurgaon and Kolkata. ICELINGS kept ice specs aligned across both sites, and their technical team coordinates service without us chasing them.
CLIENT VOICES
ANSWERS BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE
What is the difference between Tube Ice, Flake Ice, and Block Ice?
+
−
Each type of ice is produced using a different manufacturing process and is designed for specific industrial applications.
Tube Ice
Tube ice is produced through direct refrigeration inside vertical tubes. The process operates in batch cycles, typically discharging ice every 20 minutes. For example, a 20 TPD Tube Ice Plant produces approximately 278 kg of tube ice per cycle. Tube ice is hygienic, uniform in shape, slow melting, and ideal for food processing, beverages, seafood, concrete cooling, and industrial applications.
Flake Ice
Flake ice is produced continuously by freezing water on the outer surface of a rotating refrigerated drum. A scraper removes the thin ice flakes as they form. Flake ice has a large surface area, making it ideal for rapid cooling in seafood processing, food manufacturing, and chemical industries.
Block Ice
Block ice is manufactured using the traditional indirect refrigeration method. Water-filled galvanized iron (GI) cans are immersed in chilled brine, where ice forms over an extended period. Standard production cycles take approximately 24 hours, although larger refrigeration systems can reduce freezing time.
What is the standard size of Tube Ice?
+
−
Standard ICELINGS tube ice measures:
Diameter: 35 mm
Height: 35 mm
Center Hole Diameter: 6 mm
These dimensions provide excellent cooling efficiency, durability, and slower melting.
Why does Tube Ice have a hole in the center?
+
−
The center hole is a critical design feature. During freezing, water circulates inside the tube until the desired ice thickness is achieved. The 6 mm center hole prevents over-freezing, allowing uniform ice formation while protecting the freezing tubes from damage. This design also improves cooling efficiency and increases the surface area for faster heat transfer.
Can Tube Ice be customized? Yes, to a certain extent.
+
−
Diameter: Fixed at 35 mm
Height: Customizable between 25 mm and 35 mm
Please specify your preferred tube ice height when placing your order.
How is Tube Ice made?
+
−
Tube ice is manufactured using a highly efficient direct refrigeration process where purified water freezes inside specially designed vertical tubes. Once the required ice thickness is achieved, the ice is harvested, cut into uniform pieces, and discharged automatically.
A detailed step-by-step explanation is available in our downloadable Tube Ice Manufacturing Process PDF.
How long has ICELINGS been manufacturing Tube Ice?
+
−
ICELINGS has been producing premium-quality tube ice since 1996. We operate one of India's largest commercial Tube Ice Plants with an installed production capacity of 300 tons per day, supplying hygienic tube ice across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Taloja, Roha, and surrounding regions.
How many Tube Ice Plants has ICELINGS installed?
