How it works

From water to packed ice

  1. Pre-cooled water is filled into thin-walled ice cans arranged in specially designed racks and immersed in a refrigerated brine tank.

  2. As chilled brine circulates around the cans, the water freezes into solid ice blocks.

  3. Once the freezing cycle is complete, an overhead travelling crane lifts the cans and transfers them to a thawing tank, where a brief water bath releases the ice blocks.

  4. The empty cans are refilled with fresh water and returned to the brine tank for the next cycle, ensuring continuous and efficient operation. Finished blocks can be stored, transported or supplied directly to customers.
